Program Based Research

Werner et al. (1995):

In 1995, a study was conducted by Werner et. al.(1995) to observe techniques that may increase participation in a curbside recycling program, as well as helping to understand long term behavior and attitude change towards recycling.

Results:

Written commitments were more likely to get members to participate than face-to-face communication, telephone calls, or flyers.

Commitment and behavior could work to change attitudes towards recycling.
